Each weekend, starting Friday, I will be giving away something for free; to start it might only be textures, but as I get more into (digital) mixed media, it might be digital stencils, digital brushes, or even an image that you can use. I hope that you enjoy creating with the freebies.

Note: The file will expire Sunday evening at 9:30 PM (Pacific Time). The file is temporarily stored on Dropbox. If you don’t have an account, or don’t want to create one, go to the bottom of the dialog box and click on “NO thanks, continue to view”

Weekend Freebie #42

Note: The repeating pattern is not included on the file you download.

This weeks freebie was created by me on my MacBook Pro using Pixelmator Pro. I just started playing around with the brushes and layers. I then added a tilt-shift effect then 3 bokeh effects to come up with the look. The final image size is 6000 x 4500 @ 300 dpi. File size is 13.74 MB.

Here’s a couple of samples using this weeks image.

Created a new texture by mixing with a photo of concrete grunge

I would love to see what you create with this texture. Feel free to leave a link to where you’ve posted a picture.

You may sell any artwork you create with this texture, as long as it is not the dominant part of your artwork.

You MAY NOT sell the texture as your own or include it as part of a group/package of downloads.

  1. It was pretty easy. I hit the download button and another tab sprang up. At the top of the screen was a download icon. I hit that, another tab came up the same as that one but the new tab gave me the option to download or open in a program. I chose download, the tab closed and the image downloaded. I checked by opening it in Photoshop and did receive the 6000×4000 image completely. Actually I found it slightly easier than Dropbox but only slightly.

    cool image!

    1. Thanks for the feedback, Mary. Out of curiosity, were you logged into a google account before clicking on the link? By the way, glad you liked the image 🙂

      1. I tried it yesterday morning, not logged into my google account, and I had two options, print or download. I liked that it didn’t come with a “nag” pop up to sign in or create an account.
