Trader Joe’s has some really pretty gladiolus’ in stock now. I picked up a bunch that are a beautiful purple color. I made sure to get a bunch with no flowers that were open, or at least not that many; I can’t believe how quickly they opened in a day and a half.
Setup for the shot was easy. I had 1 single stalk in a small vase on the floor of the garage. Camera was on a tripod. I set the ISO to 200 and the shutter speed to 1 second, then I turned out all the lights. Lighting was using the flashlight on my iPhone SE, moving it back and forth for the 1 second. Minimal processing to the RAW file was done in Luminar 3.
