I’m trying to keep from ranting about what happened today but I’m finding it hard to focus on writing about today’s photo; let’s just say my heart was broken (and I was sobbing uncontrollably) by actions of an uncaring city council and effing developers who don’t even live in the area. OK, nuff said!
On a positive note, three of the amaryllis buds opened up in various stages today, with the oldest being wide open looking like a tuba, or some other horn instrument. It has been fun watching the stages the anther goes through, from being fully closed, to popping open to expose the pollen, to the pollen falling down onto the petals. I’m hoping some bees and butterflies are doing their job when I’m not outside.
