I almost didn’t make a post today, much less take any photos. My mom and step-dad left early this morning to head back home; I’ve gotten so used to them being around for the last 3+ months that I was feeling heartbroken. I tried to keep myself busy with cleaning up the house and it kinda sorta worked to keep me from crying all day long.
Close to 6 p.m. I started feeling creative and went outside to take some photos. A cold marine layer came in quick and forced me into the garage. That’s where I shot today’s double exposure photo. The settings below are for the first exposure of the fairy with the smaller bokeh in the background. I then changed the aperture to f/2.8 at 18mm and got some larger bokeh balls around her face.
I took the jpg into Affinity Photo and played around with zoom blur, a little radial blur then a teal color overlay to come up with the look you see below.
