From all the rain we received this past Winter, plus all the wind, we have a boatload of milkweed (or something similar) growing in the backyard. The end of flower cycle is similar to a dandelion, except each plant gets 10+ flowers per stem…then they turn to seed heads. I found one that reminded me of the plasma balls that were so popular in the 80s and 90s.

In Luminar 3, I processed the image using two different UV Looks, then changing the blend mode to get the look you see.

    1. This afternoon I realized why you (probably) asked that question. I noticed quite a few “cabbage” butterflies flying around the back yard, but they don’t really go for the milkweed (if PlantSnap app is correct). They prefer the trumpet vine that covers the block wall. Today I saw 2 possibly monarchs, but they might have been painted ladies; they never stopped long enough for me to get a good look.
