Hibiscus flowers can be fun to shoot as macros as there are so many different things you can focus on. There’s the nooks and crannies of the petals (depending on the stage of the flower), the pretty yellow stamens, or the pink/red stigmas (like I did in today’s photo). This shot didn’t look the same when I shot it against a pinkish hibiscus, the white flower makes the stamens and stigmas look more like graphic elements popping out at you.
