Back in the late ’90s early 2000s I used to go to San Luis Obispo for a relaxing weekend once a month. There was a cool store that sold geodes, crystals and other gems. One trip there I saw a sculpted bear out of amethyst, I knew I had to have it. Now it sits in a curio cabinet. Since there aren’t any flowers to photograph, I thought I’d take some photos of items in the cabinet. I used Topaz Studio 2 Impression to give a painterly look to the background while keeping the soft focus of the bear.
