I finally got around to watching the CreativeLive class by Kathleen Clemons titled Creating Painterly Photographs (I bought it when it was on sale for $29). When she started talking about the iOS apps she uses for her mobile flower photography, Tiny Planet and Formulas were 2 of her favorite apps, I quickly bought both. I turned a photo of a hibiscus into the look you see in Tiny Planet. I then used an old app titled Stackables (same developer as Formulas) for the textured look. Formulas app has some nice looking frames and lets you select how wide a frame to use. The final look reminds me of something Georgia O’Keeffe’s might have created.
