Today was the last time I will get to be with my mom and 2 dad’s until who knows when. We enjoyed a lovely walk around Gardens of the World in Thousand Oaks, CA. I felt like I had died and gone to heaven as this was the most I had seen flowers growing in quite some time (I go here several times a year). I want to go back next weekend as it looks like the artichokes will be blooming soon; they don’t pick them to eat, they let them bloom into beautiful purple flowers! If you’ve never seen an artichoke flower, here is my “special version” on my old blog.
I never did see what the name of this flower was, but I caught 1st exposure as a bud and the 2nd exposure of the full grown flower.
